A St. Charles man, Christopher Titus, 46, has been charged with statutory sodomy and child molestation involving a victim under 12 at the Here We Grow Early Care and Education daycare in Webster Groves. The alleged incidents occurred between January 2023 and August 2024. Titus, who worked at the daycare for about seven years, reportedly admitted to the offenses during a police interview. He is currently held on a $1 million cash-only bond, facing potential life imprisonment. Authorities have not identified additional victims and note the daycare’s cooperation in the investigation.
A house fire broke out early Thursday morning on Spencer Road in St. Peters, but the two adults, a dog, and backyard chickens inside managed to escape safely. A neighbor walking by spotted flames coming from the garage and reported the fire. Firefighters struggled to extinguish the blaze due to strong winds, but no injuries were reported.
