A water main break occurred Tuesday morning in St. Peters, north of Interstate 70, affecting customers in several areas, including the Braewood and Ellington neighborhoods. Utility crews are on-site addressing the issue, but there is no estimated time for full restoration. Residents are encouraged to check the city’s website at stpetersmo.net for updates.

Between March 3rd and March 10th, the O’Fallon Police Department handled 1,046 incidents, booked 55 subjects, and responded to 27 traffic crashes. Notable cases included a driver arrested for felony driving while revoked and drug paraphernalia possession following a traffic accident. A SWAT response was initiated after a suspect fired shots inside his home and later at officers before being apprehended by a K9 unit. Another traffic stop led to two arrests for felony drug possession. Officers also arrested a suspect who brandished an AR-style weapon during a fight and issued a $30,000 warrant. A reckless driver exceeding 130 mph on I-70 evaded an initial stop but was later detained by Wentzville PD. The department thanks the community for its support and urges safety.

The Missouri Senate has passed a bill to ban child marriage for anyone under 18 with no exceptions, moving it to the House for further debate. Sponsored by Sen. Tracy McCreery, the bill aims to protect minors from risks such as abuse, health issues, and poverty. While Sen. Rick Brattin acknowledged the historical norm of young marriages, he ultimately supported the change. Sen. Mike Moon was the only dissenting vote. If enacted, the law would not affect existing marriages.
