A St. Charles County home is a total loss following an early Tuesday morning fire.

Fire crews reported to the home on Forest Valley Court around 5AM and when crews arrived on the scene, they found the home was fully engulfed.

There were no injuries reported as the owners of the home were out of town when the fire took place.

Residents say the home was undergoing a renovation project over the past few weeks.

Investigators are now looking into what caused the fire.
