Thanks to the help of Classic Rock 93.1’s Kevy Kev who is also an excellent broadcast engineer and station board member, we were able to restore service with reduced power using a salvaged bay from our antenna structure damaged in the 80 MPH wind storm on March 14 to KMRV 102.1 FM The River. 102.1 The River is the St. Louis Area’s only independent, volunteer operated, not for profit source of daily news, sports, and weather programming produced just for St. Charles County and the Metro West including daily newsvcasts with Rob Hamilton, the At Work Network with Dean Garrison, Pillow Talk with Bill Poole and other great local music programs every day. 102.1 The River Needs your help! We are seeking a business where we can put up about a 60′ tower and a small enclosure to hold our transmitter; for the use of your property we can give a lot of promotion on the radio in exchange. Also we need your financial help no matter how big or small, click above on the link to donate, or we need business partners to help us get 102.1 The River to the next level with underwriting support, find more details in the link above. Please reach out to Mike Batchelor at mbatchelor@gmail.com or 636-748-0777 for more details. Right now the station can be best heard in Harvester Township, Cottleville, most of St. Peters, and Weldon Spring. We encourage listeners further out to stream our station online here at 1021theriver.org or on the free myTuner radio app until we are able to restore full power service and provide better coverage from a higher broadcast tower. Thank You for Listening and Supporting KMRV FM 102.1 The River – St Charles Community Radio.
