A St. Louis man is now facing charges in connection to a deadly shooting, following an altercation involving several people, one of which is from St. Charles County.
According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police, 23-year-old Jherrit Stansberry was involved in the altercation that took place on June 23rd.
Police say several women and men got into a disagreement, which led to six people being shot.
26-year-old Larry Lewis III of Florissant was transported to a nearby hospital, however 3-days later he succumbed to his injuries.
A report by the St. Louis Post Dispatch indicated there were victims who have not been identified, including a 24-year-old man from St. Charles County.
Court documents show that one of the survivors was shot in the shoulder and hand, and that victim identified it was Stansberry who shot him from behind.
Stansberry has since admitted to being at the scene, and video of him there was discovered on his Instagram.
So far, no other suspects are in custody and investigators have not accused Stansberry of killing Lewis.
He’s being held without bond.
